Introducing the Expense Agent

Creating and submitting expenses can involve several manual steps, from entering receipt details and selecting the correct expense type, to organizing expenses into expense reports. The Expense Agent introduces a new, faster way of working by giving every expense user an intelligent assistant that helps move expenses through the workflow from receipt to submission.

The Expense Agent reduces manual entry, helps users complete expenses accurately, and provides a clear overview of receipts currently being processed, and those that are ready for review. Users remain in control and can review the information before submitting an expense or expense report.

The Expense Agent is available via the Continia Expense App and the Continia Expense Portal, providing users with the same intelligent assistance from their mobile device and browser.

Feature details

The Expense Agent assists expense users with the expense process by:

• Processing receipts and extracting key information (such as merchant, date, amount, and currency)
• Suggesting the appropriate expense type, based on the available receipt information
• Showing receipts that are currently being processed and receipts that have completed processing
• Providing direct access to the resulting expense for review and completion
• Providing access to the relevant expense report when the expense has been added to one
• Helping users complete and submit expenses and expense reports with fewer manual steps
• Supporting the same assisted workflow in both the Continia Expense App and the Continia Expense Portal

As part of this release, the Expense Portal was also refreshed with a cleaner, more modern, and intuitive user interface. Expense handling is now easier with improved layouts, navigation, and actions, and provides a consistent foundation for the new Expense Agent experience.
