Activating card agreements
In Expense Management, you can import card transactions. This autogenerates an expense prefilled with all the information from the transaction, such as amount, currency, date, and description.
Important
Before you attempt to activate a bank agreement in Expense Management, a prior agreement with the bank must be in place.
You can import card transactions manually and automatically. In the latter case, you must set up an agreement with a bank to start receiving transactions automatically.
Note
You can only activate a bank agreement in a production environment. If you want to import transactions in a demo environment, you can do this manually. Read more about this in the article Manual file import.
To set up a bank agreement to receive transactions automatically:
- Search () for and select Bank Agreements (Continia Expense Management).
- On the action bar, click Activate New Agreement.
- In the Bank Agreement Activation wizard, click Next.
- Fill in the relevant details, then click Next.
- Click Finish to confirm.
Check the status
Continia Support processes the request, which usually takes 1-2 work days. If the information matches a transaction, you'll see transactions starting to come into the system.
If the information does not match any transactions, the request will be rejected.
To check the current status of an activation:
- Search () for and select Bank Agreements (Continia Expense Management).
- On the action bar, click Activation Request Log. It opens the Agreement Activation Log where you can check the details of the activation.
Important
When a card agreement has been activated, you must synchronize with Continia Online so the transactions can begin downloading to Expense Management. Best practice is to run synchronizations using a job queue. For more information, see Setting up job queues.
