Matching reminders and finance charge memos
When a customer pays a reminder or finance charge memo, the bank transaction contains the reminder or finance charge memo number in the transaction text or description. Continia Banking can use this information to automatically identify the correct customer ledger entries and create a payment application proposal during reconciliation.
Hinweis
This feature is disabled by default. You must activate it in Continia Feature Management before you can enable it in Banking Import Setup.
When the setting is enabled, a matching routine runs during reconciliation in Bank Account Reconciliation and Payment Reconciliation Journal. The routine reads the Transaction Text, Description, and Line Details fields to identify issued reminder and issued finance charge memo numbers.
If a reminder or finance charge memo number is found, all lines in that document with references to customer ledger entries are used to create a Payment Application Proposal. If the reminder was issued with the option to post fees, the customer ledger entries related to the fees are also added to the proposal. The customer ledger entries related to the matching finance charge memo are included in the proposal as well.
To enable reminder and finance charge memo matching:
- Search (
) for and select Banking Import Setup. - Go to the Matching FastTab, the Documents section, and enable Reminder and Finance Charge Memo Matching.
Once enabled, the matching routine runs automatically during reconciliation in Bank Account Reconciliation and Payment Reconciliation Journal.
