Working with proposal application rules

Continia Banking can automatically apply payment proposals that match a statement line when the amounts match exactly. The auto-apply proposal rules feature extends this behavior by allowing proposals to be applied even when the amounts don’t match exactly. For example, if a proposal is identified by a payment reference rule and is set to allow partial application, it is applied automatically without requiring an exact amount match.

To use this feature, you must first enable it in Continia Feature Management.

Default rules

Continia Banking includes a default set of rules that covers the most common matching strategies. These rules apply regardless of how many proposals exist for a line and result in immediate application. You can modify or extend them to suit your setup. You can restore the default rules at any time.

Default rules automatically match transactions using common identifiers such as Document No., External Document No., Payment Reference, and Posting Date and Amount, providing a reliable baseline for proposal application.

Setup requirements

The auto-apply proposal rules feature requires the Automatic Proposal Application Setup toggle to be enabled in Banking Import Setup. The feature must also be activated in Continia Feature Management before the toggle is available.

For setup and configuration steps, see Configure auto-apply proposal rules.

Hinweis

Partial payment auto-application does not consider payment discounts or payment tolerances.
