Adding a single payment bank account to a customer or vendor entry

Continia Banking normally uses the bank account on the customer or vendor card. Some entries need a different bank account. For example, a vendor may request payment to a different account for a specific invoice, or a customer may need a one-time direct debit from another account. In these cases, you can use a single payment bank account without changing the default account.

A single payment bank account can be linked to an individual document, journal line, or posted entry. Continia Banking uses the account only for that transaction. The account isn't added to the customer or vendor card and isn't reused for future payments.

You can add a single payment bank account from these pages:

  • Sales and purchase invoices
  • Sales and purchase journals
  • Customer and vendor ledger entries

The payment suggestion process works as usual. When a single payment bank account is recognized on an entry, the standard suggestion creates a new payment header for that entry.

If you delete the field that contains the single payment bank account, the related account will be deleted too.

To add an account from a sales or purchase document

To link a single payment bank account before posting a document:

  1. Search () for Sales Invoices or Purchase Invoices. Open the relevant document.
  2. On the action bar, click Actions > Functions > Single Pmt. Bank Account.
  3. An empty bank account card opens. It uses the next number from the configured number series. Enter the account information, then close the card.

The standard bank account field is filled for your document type. You can't use that single payment bank account for other entries.
