Setting up PSP search rules
PSP search rules tell Continia Banking where to post the fees and charges in a file from a payment service provider (PSP). Each rule searches for a text and assigns an account to the journal lines that match. The rules belong to a single PSP agreement, and Continia Banking applies them when you import a PSP file to the cash receipt journal and when you select Apply Imported Payments. For more information about how the rules interact with merging and credit memo identification, see Handling fees and credit memos in PSP imports.
To open the search rules of a PSP agreement
Use one of the following options:
- Search for and select PSP Agreements, select the agreement, and then on the action bar, select Related > PSP Search Rules.
- In a cash receipt journal that is set up for PSP payments, on the action bar, select PSP Search Rules.
- Open the PSP Search Rules step of the PSP Agreement Setup guide. For more information, see Setting up a payment service agreement.
To import the rules of a PSP agreement
The fields in this section are on the PSP Search Rules page of a PSP agreement. For more information about how to open the page, see To open the search rules of a PSP agreement.
Each rule has the following fields. To see all fields in the list, on the action bar, select Page > Show More Columns. To edit all fields of a rule, select Edit to open the PSP Search Rule page.
To view the template:
- Search for and select Payment Service Providers, select the provider, and then on the action bar, select Related > Rule Template. The template doesn't contain account numbers. You must enter an Account No. on every rule that you want to use.
When you add the agreement, you can choose how to import the rules:
- Import the rules from the default rule template
- Import the rules from the existing PSP Agreement - this option is available only if another agreement exists for the same payment service provider.
- Do not import rules and keep the current rules - this option is available only if the agreement already has rules.
