Overview regulatory reporting in Continia Banking
When you process payments in Business Central, some transactions must include specific codes so banks and authorities can identify, classify, and approve them. For example, in Germany, payments over €50,000 to foreign accounts must be reported to the Bundesbank. Continia Banking supports these requirements with external codes, reporting entries, and the ability to generate regulatory reports.
This section describes how to set up and manage the codes used for regulatory reporting and payment processing, and how to generate and reverse regulatory reports. To verify the payment amounts of a payment suggestion before you create a payment file, you can use the analysis views on the Applied Entries page. See Analyzing applied entries.
Introducing regulatory reporting and external codes
Some countries require specific reporting codes for cross-border payments to ensure compliance with financial regulations. This article explains how Continia Banking supports these requirements with predefined codes, validation handling, and rules configured directly on the vendor. It also describes the manual setups and code groups used for regulatory reporting. See Introducing regulatory reporting and external codes.
Working with external codes
The External Codes page provides a single location to set up and manage all code types required for payment processing and compliance. This article describes regulatory reporting codes, category purpose codes, and local instrument codes, and it explains the fields available for each record on the page. See Working with external codes.
Introducing Z4 reporting
Z4 reporting codes classify cross-border transactions for central bank reporting in the German localization of Continia Banking. This article explains what Z4 codes are used for and how to view them and assign them on the vendor card. See Introducing Z4 reporting.
Generating a regulatory report
You generate regulatory reports by exporting reporting entries, which contain prefilled data from transactions that meet specific criteria. This article describes how to view reporting entries, how to create a reporting file, and how to reverse a reporting entry if an error was made. See Generating a regulatory report.
