Forwarding an email or attaching it to an expense doesn’t consistently provide a 'receipt file' that can be previewed across the Continia Expense App, Expense Portal, and Business Central – limiting what the AI Receipt Scanner can extract. The ability to convert receipt emails to PDF ensures the email itself becomes a consistent, viewable receipt document everywhere. Additionally, it enables automated data capture.

This reduces manual entry, improves accuracy, and speeds up expense creation – especially when the 'receipt' is the email content rather than an attached file.

Feature details

When an expense receipt is provided as an email, Continia Expense Management will automatically convert the email content to a PDF receipt.

• Forwarded email receipts will be converted to PDFs, and stored as expense receipts. This ensures the email body (not only attachments) can be used as valid documentation.

• Dragged-in email receipts in the Expense Portal will also be converted to PDFs, and added as the receipt document.

Converted PDFs can be previewed in the Expense App, Expense Portal, and Business Central – providing a consistent viewing experience. In addition, the AI Receipt Scanner will process the converted PDF and extract key fields, helping you create expenses faster and with less manual typing.
