Storing eDocument logs in Azure Blob Storage

Business value

In companies that send a lot of documents, keeping every eDocument file in the Business Central database makes the database grow and drives up storage costs. Moving these files to Azure Blob Storage keeps the database smaller and cheaper to run. Until recently, you could only do this for email log entries, but now it's also possible for eDocument log entries.

Feature details

The Log Storage Type setting on the Document Output Setup page now covers eDocument log entries as well as email log entries. When the setting points to Azure Blob Storage, eDocument XML data is stored there instead of in the database. To move existing eDocument log entries, use the Move Logs action on the Document Output Setup page.
