What is a permission set?
A permission set is a collection of permissions for specific objects in the database. All users must be assigned one or more permission sets before they can access Dynamics NAV or Business Central on-premises. By default, several predefined permission sets are available in the system. You can use these predefined permission sets, change the default permission sets, or create new permission sets.
You can also add users to user groups. This makes it easier to assign the same permission sets to multiple users.
