How to access the Data imported from banks archive
In Continia Payment Management, all imported account statements, deposit files and status messages from the bank are stored in the archive Data imported from banks, which is an internal file archive. The archive includes all forms of communication, including file import from disk.
Data imported from banks are so-called "intercompany tables". Only when the import is completed are the files processed. This ensures that all files can always be found in the archive, regardless of whether any subsequent processing of the file fails or rejects the file.
What can you use Data imported from banks to?
- As intercompany tables are used, it allows the use of the same certificate across multiple companies. This makes the use of certificates simpler and cheaper.
- As there are often delays from the time you create a web service agreement with the bank until you actually use it, untreated lines can build up that have already been posted. These are removed using the function Toggle Imported to Company.
- Everywhere in Payment Management you will find traceability just like in Dynamics NAV or Business Central on-premises standard edition. In connection with e.g. audit, it is important that there is a clear overview of all entries that are associated with the payment entry (vendor ledger entries, bank ledger entries, procurement, general ledger entries and thus also all files retrieved from the bank).
- By preserving these data, we thus ensure that you always have the statistics and reports using Continias best overview of your finances and payment services. If you want to do even deeper analysis, you can use Dynamics NAV or Business Central on-premises's other analysis tools to create e.g. curve and bar charts or Pivot tables.
