Resend functionality for XML files sent through the Continia Delivery Network | - | Apr 2025 |
Business value
When sending electronically invoicing documents as XML, it's not currently possible to send them again if they've been successfully parsed and delivered. Occasionally, an invoice receiver will need a document to be resent even though it's been sent before.
Feature details
Currently, it's technically possible to resend a document if a certain field in the XML file denotes that the document is a copy of the original invoice, or if the ID of the XML is changed. The limitation in the Continia Delivery Network was a precaution to prevent multiple deliveries of the same files or a large number of validation errors stemming from duplicate transmissions.
The new feature will most likely issue a warning if you try to send a document that's already been successfully delivered on an earlier occasion, but you will nonetheless have the option to do so.
