Working with the remittance advice outbox
The Remittance Advice Outbox provides a single location to manage remittance advices. Whether entries are created automatically through postings or payment creation, or added manually, both current and historical records are accessible for review and action.
From the Outbox, you can edit important fields such as the Remittance Advice Type and Recipient Email. If you update these fields after an advice has been sent, the Sent status is reset, allowing you to resend the advice or change the delivery method—for example, switching from email to PDF.
To work with the Remittance Advice Outbox:
- Search (
) for and select Remittance Advice Outbox. Alternatively, access the outbox directly from an account record, which then opens a prefiltered view showing only remittance advices related to that specific account. This makes it easier to locate and manage remittance advices for individual customers or vendors. You can also access the Remittance Advice Outbox from the Customer or Vendor Ledger Entry using the standard find entries function.
- On the Remittance Outbox page, you can:
- View remittance advice records - including details such as Document No., Remittance Advice Information Type, Recipient Email, Sent on.
- Edit and (re)send remittance advice - as needed. On the action bar, click Send email. For example, you can send an advice to a different recipient for a specific payment if required.
- Troubleshoot issues with unsent entries - if there are problems with any remittance advice, you can access troubleshooting tools directly from the Outbox. On the action bar, go to Setup > Export Remittance Troubleshooting to identify and resolve setup issues.
