All data posted through Continia Environmental Journals is also recorded in Microsoft’s Sustainability Ledger Entry table. This allows emissions data to be reflected in Microsoft’s Chart of Sustainability Accounts and Reports.60780
General ApplicationContinia Sustainability now has its own Role Center, providing a more structured and accessible overview for users. This update allows users to easily access Continia Sustainability pages, view emission data for the current month, track pending tasks, and analyze CO2e trends across years, including all three GHG Protocol scopes and the 15 categories of Scope 3 emissions. Users can also access journals and reports and recalculate emissions quickly.60786
General ApplicationContinia Sustainability now integrates with Financial Reports, allowing users to incorporate sustainability data directly into financial statements. Users can select an amount type in the report, such as CO2e or CO2e Market-Based, to include sustainability metrics in annual financial reporting.60787
General ApplicationThe Ownership field on the Facilities or Vehicles Environmental Account Card now remains visible even when the General FastTab is minimized or the card is in a non-expanded view. This ensures users can always view and complete this field as required.61496
General ApplicationThe mandatory fields in the Environmental Account Card and Emission Type Card are now clarified with red asterisks. Though certain option fields cannot be marked as mandatory, users can refer to related Continia Docs for guidance on completing these cards.61542
General ApplicationPosting environmental data is now faster and more efficient with an automated posting functionality. Users can configure the system to automatically post emission data when processing a purchase invoice or credit memo. Automation can be enabled at the general, item, or G/L Account level, and missing data will be added to the Environmental Journal for manual posting later.61706
General ApplicationConfiguration data has been improved with new environmental accounts for employee commuting and sea travel, as well as renumbering of accounts under the Business Travel section. Additionally, there is increased detail in the Emission Factor Sets card.61709
General ApplicationA new feature in the Environmental Journals allows users to import data directly from external files. This functionality streamlines data gathering from external sources like employee commuting and work-from-home data, improving efficiency and minimizing errors.62211
General ApplicationThe Disposal Method Code field has been removed from the General FastTab of the Waste Environmental Account card. This field is now handled via the Fixed Emission Factor setup, simplifying the user experience and reducing setup time.62355
General ApplicationContinia Sustainability enhances the Microsoft posting routine by converting CO2e results to Microsoft-compatible values, based on the Global Warming Potential (GWP) table from the IPCC Assessment Report. Users can adjust the AR number if they possess specific information.62378
General ApplicationContinia Sustainability now provides a Chart of Sustainability Accounts based on its organization of environmental accounts and aligned with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol. A preconfigured chart is provided, which users can modify to fit their specific needs.62480
General ApplicationA new Emissions by Scope report is now available, which includes emissions organized by Scope and Scope 3 categories, with results in CO2e and market-based results for electricity. The report is available in RDLC layout and supports flexible filtering and export options.62481
General ApplicationContinia Sustainability has introduced a predefined table for the Global Warming Potential (GWP) values of the four main greenhouse gases (CO2, CH4, N2O, SF6). This table is pre-filled during installation and ensures accurate conversion of CO2e values.62482
General ApplicationContinia Sustainability now integrates fields from Sustainability Ledger Entries with results from posted environmental ledger entries. New fields include CO2e data for all six Kyoto Protocol gases, emission factor set details, and additional fields derived from environmental ledger entries.62483
General ApplicationContinia Sustainability only supports posting emissions in kilograms (kg). If users attempt to change the Unit of Measure Code in Microsoft Sustainability Ledger Entries to anything other than kg, an error message will be triggered when posting from the Environmental Journal.62487
General ApplicationThe Waste Disposal Method field has been removed from the Waste Environmental Account card, and fixed emission factors have been specified for environmental accounts. This change streamlines the setup process for users.62535
General ApplicationThe Continia Sustainability Setup page has been reorganized with new tabs for better navigation. Users who wish to work with Continia Sustainability fields in purchase invoices should enable the corresponding option on this page to avoid confusion with BC Sustainability fields.63293

This feature gives users direct access to relevant learning materials and documentation and allows them to submit feedback.63571

Bug fixes

Functional AreaDescriptionID
Emission FactorsFixed an issue where importing a new version of an emission factor set did not deactivate old versions, leading to potential calculation errors. The system now automatically deactivates old versions, keeping only the most recent version active.61619
General ApplicationFixed an issue where the Unit Code field was not automatically populated when creating a line in the Waste Environmental Journal. The system now auto-fills the Unit Code field based on data from the Environmental Account and associated Emission Factor.60263
General ApplicationFixed an issue where switching environmental accounts in the Environmental Journal did not update the unit codes from the associated emission factor. The system now correctly updates unit codes when switching accounts.60577
General ApplicationAdded red asterisks to indicate mandatory fields required for emissions calculations in the Environmental Journal. The system now guides users to enter the necessary details and automatically selects the appropriate emission factor.60628
