Quick Guide Continia Sustainability
Before getting started with Continia Sustainability, you need to configure key settings to align with your company’s requirements. This includes setting up emission types and defining relevant environmental accounts.
The steps to take for a smooth setup:
- Install and Activate
- Install Continia Sustainability from Microsoft AppSource.
- Choose the appropriate environment and language.
- Complete the initial setup, activate the solution, and log in using your Partnerzone credentials.
- Review and Configure Setup Pages
- Navigate to the Continia Sustainability Setup page
- Define key settings such as organizational boundaries, emission factor year, and default unit codes.
- Once these values are set, avoid further changes to ensure consistency in your carbon accounting framework.
- We recommend running the Assisted Setup and importing the standard setup file with configuration data.
- Configure common Emission Types
- Customize the emission sources relevant to your business. These definitions can be reused across multiple environmental accounts. See the Emission Types Overview article for more information.
- Set up Vehicle Laden Codes
- Configure emission factors and options for vehicles.
- If pre-configured data was imported during installation, review and adjust as necessary.
- Set up Waste Disposal Methods
- Define emission factors and options for waste disposal processes.
- Pre-configured data may already be available; adjust manually if required.
- Set up Material Sources
- Configure emission factors and options for material sources used in your operations.
- Review or manually adjust the settings if imported data does not fully meet your needs.
- Add Environmental Accounts cards
- Add cards for specific environmental accounts.
- Set up Environmental Data Sources
- Ensure that all required data sources are configured correctly.
- Work with Environmental Journals
- Use Environmental Journals to manage and calculate emissions data. Access these journals from the search bar in Business Central.
- Create new journals or adjust existing ones using templates such as Facility, Waste, or Vehicle.
- Adjust or Create Reports (Optional)
- Once journals are set up, you can generate or modify reports based on your organization’s environmental data.
