Modifying existing mandates

If there are changes which need to be done to already existing, in use mandates, you have the possibility to send change notifications to your bank using the SEPA xml files:

  • Modifying own Company Name
  • Modifying Creditor-ID
  • Modifying bank account number saved in the mandate
  • Modifying the mandate number, which is e.g. due to a changed number logic.

It is then not necessary to obtain a new mandate from the customer and create it in Business Central.

[!IMPOARTANT]

If you have to make several changes to a mandate, you should submit them one after the other to your bank.

In any case, consult your bank beforehand and carry out a test run if necessary.

When changes are made to mandates, mandate change entries are generated, which you can also view in the mandate card via the mandate changes and mandate changes processed fields after successful creation.

In the mandate change entries it is also possible to lock changes before processing or to reactivate them if required.
