Adding a Predefined Emission Factor Set Managed by Continia

Continia-managed emission factor sets are freely available to users, but only Continia can modify them. Users don’t need to manually update these sets—Continia will handle all updates as soon as a new version is released.

Important

If you encounter any discrepancies or errors in the values, report them immediately through Zendesk so Continia can promptly address them.

When a new version of a Continia-managed emission factor set becomes available, users will receive a notification while working in Environmental Journals or on the Emission Factor Sets page. Notifications will only be shown for sets currently in use within your environmental accounts.

If multiple emission factor set versions are available, the system will display one notification at a time. Once a user imports the new set or selects Don’t show this again for a particular version, the next notification will appear.

Tip

If you choose not to update a set, you can opt for Don’t show this again. The system will then ask if this applies only to the current version or all future notifications. Be cautious—if you hide the notification for a specific emission factor set, it cannot be reversed. However, if you choose to hide all future notifications, you can later adjust this setting in the My Notifications page.

To add new emission factor set managed by Continia:

  1. Use the Search icon, search for Assisted Setup and select the related page.
  2. Navigate to the Continia Sustainability group and select Set Up Continia Sustainability.
  3. Follow the wizard to add the emission factor sets you need. It is important to avoid importing pages or data that already exist in the system to prevent duplication.
