Updating Emissions Estimates with Recalculation Features

Recalculations in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central make sure your financial data stays accurate and consistent by updating data. Similarly, you can use the recalculation feature of Continia Sustainability to adjust emissions estimates for lines that have already been posted. This is really helpful when new emission factors come out for the reporting year, ensuring that you always align your activity and financial data with the latest and most accurate emission factor.

Note

For recalculating based on changes in accounts, adjustments can only be made for updates to the Emission Factor FastTab information. Changes to the emission type within facilities and vehicles' environmental accounts cannot trigger recalculations.

To recalculate emission values:

  1. Use the Search icon, search for Recalculate Environment Entries and select the related link.

  2. On the Recalculate Environment Entries page, you can now add filters for date, account type, account number, and so on.

  3. Select Ok to recalculate. Alternatively, select Schedule for the recalculation to take place on a specific day and time.

    Tip

    It is good practice to verify the recalculation process by reviewing the selected environmental account entries or posted emission values in the sustainability report.
