Setting up Emission Types
Continia Sustainability's Emission Type feature helps you customize the sources of common emissions that apply to your company. By defining the emission type ahead of time, you can simplify the process and avoid searching for the right option each time.
See the Emission Types Overview article for a list of all available categories.
To add an emission type to a category:
Use the icon, enter Emission Types, and select the related link.
Select the emission type you want to define.
On the action bar, select New.
On the specific emission type card, you can now enter information. The available fields are different for each emission type. For example, for Fuel, the following fields are available:
FieldDescription Type Automatically set to the chosen emission type. Code Provide an identifier to define the type of emission. Name Provide a name describing the source of the emission type. Fuel/Energy Type Select the type from the drop-down menu. Blocked When enabled, prevents further use of the account. Default unit Predefined unit for reporting the specific emission type (typically liters for fuels). Emission Factor Set Indicates the Emission factors database that is used for calculations. For example, Defra. Emission Category Category under which emissions are classified. Emission Item Code Code identifying a specific emission factor. No. of Emission Factors The system will automatically display the number of emission factors related to the choice made earlier. Depending on the Emission Factor Set (EFS) selected, the same emission factor may be provided in different units of measure. Additionally, it may combine multiple emission factors from upstream emissions, combustion emissions, and other sources.
