Software lifecycle policy and Continia Payment Management on-premises

Continia provides ongoing servicing and support of all Payment Management on-premises releases for at least two years after each release date. This includes security updates, bug fixes, new features, partner support, and access to online resources including Continia Docs. However, note that all online resources are based on the latest version of Payment Management, meaning that older functionality that has been changed, replaced, or deleted in the meantime is unlikely to be covered. For more information on the various types of support provided by Continia, see Resources for Help and Support.

All Continia code, including bug fixes, is released for RTM versions of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, not for cumulative Microsoft updates. If you're interested in implementing a specific bug fix, you must install the service pack that it's part of, as individual patches and bug fixes can't be provided separately. Service packs are released frequently to keep your software up-to-date and fully functional, and we strongly recommend that you always stay current by installing the latest service packs. For more information about how to implement a service pack, for the online version, see Upgrading to the latest version (online) and for the on-premises version, see Upgrading to the latest version (on-premises).

Important

End-of-sale date for Payment Management

Starting 1 October 2025, Continia will discontinue new sales of Payment Management. Additionally, as of 1 October 2026, the solution will no longer be supported, and no further updates or new versions will be released.

To ensure a smooth transition, we kindly ask clients currently using Payment Management to migrate to Continia Banking by 1 October 2026. This is especially important for Business Central online users, as we cannot guarantee that Payment Management will continue to work in that environment after this date.

We also strongly encourage on-premises users to upgrade to Continia Banking, as support for Payment Management will be fully phased out. Migrating to Continia Banking ensures uninterrupted access to essential banking features going forward.

If you have any questions or need assistance with the migration, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we are here to help.

Note for clients in Great Britain: please contact your Partner Account Manager for guidance on this transition.

Releases

New major versions of all Continia solutions are released twice a year, on April 1 and October 1, in alignment with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central online release schedule. Whenever Microsoft releases a major version of Business Central online, Continia aims to release all online apps on the same day. On-premises versions are released within two weeks after each Business Central online release.

One to two weeks before each major release, a full preview version is released for the Business Central online sandbox environments.

Below is an overview of support start and end dates for each software release:

Note

With its 2024 spring release, Payment Management will make a version leap from 7.00 to 24.00, meaning that versions 7.00–23.00 don't exist and never will. This was done in order to align the versioning of Payment Management with that of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
